WHy is there a PICTURE OF dogs HERE AND WHo are cooper & Roxy?
FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK...
I recently released a NEW ALBUM that was funded in part by a successful KICKSTARTER campaign! One reward for backing the project was giving your dog(s) or cat(s) their "15 minutes of fame" by showcasing them on my website and social media. Four humans signed up their furry friends who have been showcased one at a time over the past few months. This month, we will all bask in the glory of old friends and road warriors, Cooper & Roxy.
This dynamic duo spent the last 5 years criss crossing the backroads and campgrounds of the US in an RV with their humans Sally and Chester. Sadly, this “Dogz Rule” feature is in part a memorial to Roxy who passed away just weeks ago in the frontier land known as Las Cruces New Mexico. Roxy had a great long life 12/23/04 - 1/15/18, and will be missed by her family and by RVers across the US. Her ashes will be spread at the dog park at Mission Bay, San Diego (I’ve been there, it is dog heaven on earth).
These road warrior dogs have seen some sights and smelled some smells and if they could write, they would probably put Jack Kerouac to shame. “Sweet Roxy” (breed: Big Black Dog) had an inexplicable distaste for golf and back in her younger days had a reputation for escaping to the golf course to harass the golfers. Since becoming a full time RVer a few years back, she had become a notorious jail break, often giving caretakers the slip. With no golfers to chase, she could usually be found around a campfire enjoying liberal ‘pets’ and hotdogs from strangers. Cooper is named after her human’s Mini-Cooper in which she often rides shotgun (Cooper is no lapdog) while travelling the US. She is a mix match of genealogy, including the best of giant poodle, toy poodle, miniature schnauzer, and possibly house cat. In fact, she has the temperament of a cat-dog, preferring an independent lifestyle and maintaining an air of aloofness, punctuated only by treats and belly rubs.
Thank you to Roxy and Cooper and their Humans for your support of my new album "THE LAST TEN YEARS"!

The Last Ten Years is the second album by Ryan Hutchens. It was officially released on October 13, 2017. The Last Ten Years was recorded over the course of six days in May and June 2017 at Archer Avenue Studio in Columbia South Carolina. It was mastered on June 26 2017 at Studio B Mastering in Charlotte North Carolina.
The Last Ten Years consists of songs Ryan developed over the course of several years beginning in 2014. Several of the tracks (Education, Fortunate Peace, and Fake Flowers And The Weather) had been previously released on earlier albums under the name Cancellieri. These songs were re-recorded for The Last Ten Years with changes in composition, lyrics, and instrumentation. The Last Ten Years consists mostly of traditional Americana instrumentation including acoustic six string guitar, five string banjo, cello, pedal steel guitar, electric bass guitar, and light percussion. Ryan Hutchens composed all of the songs and performed most of the instrumentation on the album. Kenny McWilliams of Archer Avenue Studio produced and recorded the album. He also performed synthesized piano, percussion, electric guitar, and electric bass guitar on several of the tracks. Idris Chandler performed all of the cello tracks. Travis White performed all of the pedal steel tracks.
